What is ‘Art&Eats Presents’?
Art&Eats Presents is a new series by Colin Bushell and Katherine Kemp, created to celebrate Brisbane’s creative community through immersive events that bring together art, food, wine and meaningful connection.
The Inaugural Event
The inaugural event, In Her Skin, marks the beginning of this exciting new chapter, showcasing the work of local artist Natarscha Schneider in an intimate exhibition designed to encourage conversation, reflection and community.
Rather than simply viewing artwork on a gallery wall, guests are invited to experience it through thoughtfully curated evenings where creativity is shared alongside locally sourced food, boutique wines and the stories that inspire both the artist and the work.
The Second Art&Eats Presents Event
The second Art&Eats Presents event for 2026 will take place at sunset on 11 October 2026, transforming the rooftop of The Gap Village car park into an unexpected stage for creativity.
Passers-by and the local community will be treated to an explosive performance by our talented local dance crew, Showdance, bringing energy, movement and colour to the skyline.
Expect the unexpected as this vibrant celebration of dance turns an ordinary Sunday afternoon into an unforgettable shared experience.
Powerful Art Brings People Together
Art&Eats Presents was born from the belief that art is at its most powerful when it brings people together. By creating welcoming spaces where artists can share their work and audiences can engage with it in a relaxed and personal setting, the series aims to foster greater appreciation for Brisbane’s vibrant creative talent while supporting local businesses, producers and makers.
Each Art&Eats Presents event will feature a different artist and a unique collaborative experience, celebrating the richness of our local arts community and demonstrating how creativity has the power to connect, inspire and strengthen the communities we call home.
